SYMBIOTIC IN THEORY - Scream Theory

THIRD ARM RECORDS - Happy Little Creatures
Selepas kejayaan single 'Faundations', Fiction Records bercadang untuk menghasilkan album dimana ianya telah diberi judul Made of Bricks.

Interview bersama SUIS LA LUNE.

EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: If you dont mind, can you guys tell us some short story about SUIS LA LUNE history and current line-up.
SUIS LA LUNE: No problem! Suis la lune has been around as a band since 2005, the idea however was born in 2004. We started out as five, went through a change of bassplayer after one month and lost Robert, one of our guitarists, last year and today Suis la lune consists of the following: Henning – Guitar and vocals, Karl – Guitar and vocals, Andreas – Bass and vocals, Daniel – Drums. The four of us are stronger than ever however, and the chance of ever seeing a memberchange in Suis la lune again is very small. We originally come from all over Sweden, north south you name it, but today we all live in Stockholm, except for me, Daniel, residing on the east coast in Gothenburg.
EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: How to describe SUIS LA LUNE music concept and what are your big influences ??
SUIS LA LUNE: I don’t know if there is such a thing as a concept, we have never had an outspoken agreement on what kind of music to play, rather the opposite, but I guess the music we play is the music we keep closest to our hearts. It’s intense and chaotic but at the same time very gentle and delicate. As for influences I guess you could fit a lot of things from our everyday lives like love, friends and the constant fight against boredom, but I am guessing you are thinking of bands so I’ll drop a few that I know we all like and have listened to through our days: portraits of past, page99, louise cyphre, orchid, city of caterpillar, the list could go on forever though.
EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: Who was taking care about SUIS LA LUNE music arrangement and lyrics??
SUIS LA LUNE: Our main singer and guitarist Henning has the biggest part of it since he is the one coming up with the original ideas and the lyrics for most things. But we all arrange and modify everything together.
EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: How about the releases..past released and new releases..
SUIS LA LUNE: Well, the backcatalogue up to date contains one demo, one 7”, one fullength cd/lp called “quiet, pull the strings!” and the latest 10” heir.
EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: Do you listen to the others different music genre ??
SUIS LA LUNE: Hell yes! We listen to a wide range of music and Suis la lune is far from the only kind of band we do. Everyone has their other projects ranging from pop to crust.
EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: What do you think about to make a border line with other music genre, is
it good or not, like example u guys is a screamo band and how about ur relation with others band but different genre like hardcore, metal, or indie band as well..
SUIS LA LUNE: I’m not 100% sure that I got the question there but yes, of course it’s a good thing. I don’t believe that we should limit ourselves to different genres and I don’t find that bands from this scene does. We have shared stages with bands playing indie as well as metal and don’t really make a big difference there. We appreciate the indiescene a whole lot, and I think they like us too. However, there’s a pretty big distance between Suis la lune and the metalscene though, I think they find our music too whiny.. haha..
EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: What do you think about DIY ??
SUIS LA LUNE: Without the DIY-movement Suis la lune would not exist, so it means the world to us of course. It’s nothing but amazing that people are so motivated to create things on their own.. shows, fanzines, recordlabels, you name it. DIY is everything in our scene and it’s a beautiful network.
EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: What will happened if SUIS LA LUNE got an interest from a big music label and they want to makes you guys popular around the world. Agree with that?
SUIS LA LUNE: Well, for starters I am 100% sure something like that will never happen. We play a kind of music that appeals to a pretty small group of people and could never conquer the airwaves even if we tried. We would never change to become more popular and really, we don’t care either. We will always do what we like ourselves and if omeone turn out to like it we are just stoked about that.
EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: Did you know about Malaysia music scene?
SUIS LA LUNE: Yeah! You seem to have a great scene going over there at the moment, which is exciting. UTARID was a great band and Arwith has also been kind enough to help us release our LP on his label QSD. ORBIT CINTA BENJAMIN is another good band I think, just as I like KILLEUR CALCULATEUR a whole lot.

EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: What is SUIS LA LUNE next project?
SUIS LA LUNE: Well, our new 10”+CD has just been released, an ep containing four new songs and at the moment we are planning our trip to the states, where we will do 11 dates early next year. At the same time there will be a new split 7” together with Osceola. And later on next year we might tour Russia as well.
EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: What are you guys doing beside playing and make music?
SUIS LA LUNE: There’s mostly studies and work during our days I guess. I work at a shipping company, Andreas takes care of dead people and funerals and Henning & Karl is working as mailmen. And besides Suis la lune we have other bands that we rehearse and tour with like mixtapes and cellmates, helvete också¬ killers walk among us, new decade, bjkleinhenz and some other ones as well.
EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: How about tour, how about Asia tour.. did you guys have any plan for that??
SUIS LA LUNE: No not really I’m afraid, going all the way to Asia is a big project and we would need a lot of help with booking and things like that. But you never know. If the opportunity comes up we might definitely show up some day!
EXPOSURE MAGAZINE: Last words...
SUIS LA LUNE: Thanks a lot for the interview and interest in our band, we appreciate it a lot! If you ever have any questions or wonder what we’re up to you can always find us at MySpace, and please do. We appreciate it! Thanks!
